I wanted to buy a Pink round zipped wallet with the brand logo and I was walking around brands shops in Isetan department store.
Then there was 'the one!' in the display window of the small chic shop. It was Saint Laurent's with YSL logo on it.
Just about I was asking 'excuse me', a shop assistant came out in the perfect timing saying 'Is it Pink one you are looking at? I'll open it up now', then she showed the wallet. Everything she did was very polite and kind. The designs on their items were all nice. I decided to buy that wallet straight away. When I said it was my first Saint Laurent, she gave me her card and a hand written post card was delivered a few days later.
I can't go anywhere else.
I purchased gloves yesterday. At that time I could enjoyed the conversation with a shop staff so felt good feeling. We are the same generation and chatted our funny tales about gloves each other with big laugh. Recently I do shopping online but I realized shopping at store is fun thanks to her, because we can get much information about apparel business and increase knowledge by taking a communication with other people at a store.
I normally go to the new year's sale on the 3rd or 4th day on purpose as the first day is always too crowded. I went to Daimaru Sapporo on 5th January this year. It was not as crowded as previous days, and many items were available in the store.
Although I said not crowded, still a sale day, there were more people compare to ordinary days. Popular items and absolute bargains flew away so I went for what I wanted first. You can get sale information online and detailed product line-up can be found on brands' website so I already kept in mind what I really wanted.
Some shops had limited time offers so I ran for it as soon as I heard the signal. Looking around the shopping table among senior ladies. XD
I always buy some brands' name handkerchiefs at Daimaru every year. I tend to buy many from Vivien Westwood, Yves Saint Laurent etc. for spares as they are so reasonable.. ;-)
I often go to Harajuku, Omotesando and sometimes pop in there. It's nice to be able to pop in compare to stand-alone shops. There are many people passing by but the staff comes to talk to us. They will kindly bring serval items and explain to you if you tell them the designs and colours you like. They look elegant and are polite for being in a luxurious brand so this is the shop I want to pop in when I'm looking for gifts.
